AutoMate ("we", "our", or "the app") is a vehicle management application. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.
• Vehicle data: Information you enter about your vehicles, including make, model, year, mileage, fuel logs, service records, expenses, and modifications.
• Photos: Vehicle photos and receipt images you choose to capture or upload within the app.
• Subscription data: Purchase and subscription status managed through the App Store or Google Play Store.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's core functionality (vehicle tracking, expense logging, service reminders).
• To sync your data across devices when you are signed in.
• To process receipt images using on-device text recognition (OCR).
• To manage your subscription and provide access to Pro features.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In: For authentication. Their respective privacy policies apply.
• RevenueCat: For subscription management. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts to verify subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Google ML Kit: For on-device text recognition when scanning receipts. All OCR processing happens locally on your device — no images are sent to external servers for text recognition.

Data Storage and Security

• Your vehicle data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database.
• If you sign in, your data may be synced to our secure servers for backup and cross-device access.
• We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data in transit and at rest.
• Authentication tokens are stored securely using the platform's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android).

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except as described in the Third-Party Services section above, or as required by law.

Your Rights

• You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app's settings.
• You can export your vehicle data at any time.
• You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Subscriptions

• AutoMate offers optional Pro subscriptions billed monthly or yearly.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's subscription settings.
• A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
